Description

CAUTION:

  • When replacing the sonar control unit, always replace it with a new one. Sonar system does not operate properly in case of reuse of the sonar control unit from another vehicle.

  • When before writing the sonar control unit configuration, always writing the MAC key.

Perform the following operations when replacing sonar control unit. For details, refer to Work Procedure.

AFTER REPLACEMENT

When after replacing sonar control unit, the following items must be performed. Or not doing so, sonar system does not operate normally.

  • Writing vehicle specification

  • Configuration

  • Writing MAC key

Work Procedure

Perform the following procedures after replacing the sonar control unit.

REPLACE SONAR CONTROL UNIT

Replace sonar control unit. Refer to SONAR CONTROL UNIT : Removal & Installation.

GO TO 2.

PERFORM CONFIGURATION

With CONSULT

Perform "Replace ECU". Refer to Description.

GO TO 3.

WRITING MAC KEY

With CONSULT

Perform MAC KEY writing. Refer to Description.

GO TO 4.

PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

With CONSULT

  1. Perform the self-diagnosis of sonar control unit with CONSULT (SONAR).

  2. Check if any DTC is detected.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform the trouble diagnosis for the detected DTC. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 5.

OPERATION CHECK

Confirm that the operation of the sonar is normal.
