Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK 12V BATTERY

Check 12V battery. Refer to Work Flow.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK AIR BAG FUSE

Check 10 A fuse [No. 5, located in fuse block (J/B)].

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Replace the fuse.

PERFORM ZERO POINT RESET

  1. Perform zero point reset. Refer to Description.

  2. Check SRS air bag warning lamp operation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

GO TO 4.

CHECK DTC WITH AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

Check that DTC is not detected with air bag diagnosis sensor unit.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Refer to DTC Index.

CHECK COMBINATION METER

Check combination meter. Refer to Work flow.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 6.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

  1. Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal & Installation.

  2. Check SRS air bag warning lamp operation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
