Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning

Description

Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning is a function of ECM to learn the fully closed position of the throttle valve by monitoring the throttle position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of electric throttle control actuator or ECM is disconnected or electric throttle control actuator is cleaned. (For details, refer to Work Procedure .)

Work Procedure

START

With CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. On CONSULT screen, select “ECM”>>“Work support”>>“Close throttle position learning”.

  3. Follow the instructions on the CONSULT display.

  4. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  5. Check that throttle valve moves during the above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.

Without CONSULT

  1. Start the engine.

    NOTE:

    Coolant temperature is less than 25°C (77°F) before engine starts.

  2. Warm up the engine until engine coolant temperature reaches 65°C (149°F).

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  4. Check that throttle valve moves during the above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.
