Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: 4wd Mode Does Not Change

Description

Vehicle does not enter 4-wheel drive mode even though 4WD warning turned to OFF.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK DTC OF TRANSFER CONTROL UNIT

With CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Perform self-diagnosis for “AWD/4WD”.

Is any DTC detected?

YES >>

Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK 4WD SHIFT INDICATOR

Check 4WD shift indicator function. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK 4WD SHIFT SWITCH FUNCTION (CHECK DTC OF CHASSIS CONTROL MODULE)

With CONSULT

Perform self-diagnosis for "CHASSIS CONTROL".

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

Transfer assembly is mechanical malfunction. Replace transfer assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
