Description
Automatic back door open/close function does not operate using all switches.
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK OPERATION
-
Fully close the back door manually.
-
Check auto open/close function using automatic back door switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Automatic back door system is normal. Refer to Description.
NO>>GO TO 2.
CHECK AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR OPERATION CONDITION
-
Select “AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR” of “Data Monitor” using CONSULT.
-
Check the “Automatic back door operation permission” in “Data Monitor”.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Refer to System Description.
NO>>GO TO 3.
CHECK DTC WITH AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR CONTROL UNIT, TCM AND ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT)
Check that DTC is not detected with automatic back door control unit, TCM and ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO-1>>Refer to DTC Index. (automatic back door control unit)
NO-2>>Refer to DTC Index. (TCM)
NO-3>>Refer to DTC Index. [ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)]
CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check automatic back door control unit power supply and ground circuit.
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK vehicle SPEED SIGNAL

Select “AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR” of “Data Monitor” using CONSULT.
-
Check the “vehicle speed diagnosis 1” and “Vehicle speed diagnosis 2” in “Data Monitor”.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 6.
NO>>Check brake control system. Refer to Work Flow.
CHECK P POSITION SIGNAL
-
Select “AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR” of “Data Monitor” using CONSULT.
-
Check the “P range” in “Data Monitor”.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 7.
NO>>Check A/T control system. Refer to Work Flow.
REPLACE AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR CONTROL UNIT
-
Replace automatic back door control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
-
Confirm the operation after replacement.
Is the result normal?
YES>>INSPECTION END
NO>>Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
