CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT)
With CONSULT
Start the engine.
CAUTION:
The vehicle must be in a stopped state.
Connect booster battery (12V) and jumper cable to 12V battery cable.
Select “Active test” in “ENGINE”.
Select “Auto stop start” in “Active test”.
Touch “Start”.
CAUTION:
Since the engine runs with the hood open, special care must be taken when performing the work.
If the idling stop state cannot be developed. Refer to System Description.
Check the ABS warning lamp state and the brake warning lamp state when “Cancel” is touched under the idling stop state.
Are the VDC warning lamp, ABS warning lamp and the brake warning lamp OFF?
YES>>Check the 12V battery. Refer to Work Flow.
NO>>GO TO 2.
PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS
With CONSULT
Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
CAUTION:
Be sure to wait of 10 seconds after turning ignition switch OFF or ON.
Start the engine.
Repeat step 1 two or more times.
Perform self-diagnosis for “ABS”.
Is any DTC detected?
YES>>Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index.
NO>>INSPECTION END
