Work Procedure
After replacing the ADAS control unit 2 and after replacing or removing the following steering components, the steering torque calibration is necessary to operate the system normally.

Steering wheel

Spiral cable
-
Steering angle sensor
-
Steering column assembly
-
Steering gear assembly
NOTE:
Follow the CONSULT when performing Steering Torque Calibration. (Steering Torque Calibration cannot be performed without CONSULT).
Work Procedure (Preparation)
PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

Turn ignition switch ON.
-
Perform self-diagnosis of "ICC/ADAS 2".
-
Check if any DTC is detected.
Is any DTC detected?
YES>>Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the applicable item. Refer to DTC Index.
NO>>GO TO 2.
PREPARATION BEFORE STEERING TORQUE CALIBRATION

Perform pre-inspection for diagnosis. Refer to Work Procedure.

Place the car on a level surface.
-
Adjust the tire pressure to the specified pressure value.
-
Maintain no-load in vehicle.
-
Check if the following conditions are satisfied.
-
Shift position: P Range
-
Steering wheel: Center (within ±15 degrees)
-
ProPILOT Assist 1.1 or ProPILOT Assist 2.1: OFF
-
vehicle speed: 0 km/h (0 MPH)
-
ADAS control unit 2 voltage: More than 10.5 V
-
-
Release the parking brake.

Work Procedure (Steering Torque Calibration)
NOTE:
-
The steering wheel is operated automatically when "Start" is touched.
-
Do not touch the steering wheel.
STEERING TORQUE CALIBRATION
CONSULT
NOTE:
Operate CONSULT outside the vehicle, and close all the doors.

Select "Work Support", then "Steering Torque Calibration".
-
Check if the following conditions are satisfied.
-
Shift position: P Range
-
ADAS control unit 2 voltage: More than 10.5 V
-
-
Select "START" to begin the Steering Torque Calibration.
NOTE:
Never touch steering wheel or shake the vehicle when the Steering Torque Calibration is conducted.

Confirm the displayed item.
-
“Completed”: Select “Completion”.
-
“Abnormally completed”: Perform the following services.
-
Displayed item possible cause service procedure:

| Steering wheel torque value is out range. |

| Out of execution condition. |
|
| Calibration for torque value is abnormally completed. | Touch "Retry". |
Confirm that “Completed” is displayed and then select “End” to close the adjustment procedure.
