AV control unit does not start. Display is not indicated.

AV control unit power supply and ground circuit.

Blue screen is displayed.
  • Check fail-safe status.

    Refer to Fail-safe.

  • Perform CONSULT self-diagnosis and perform diagnosis of DTC malfunction detected.

The vehicle icon is not indicated at the correct position. There is a malfunction in the CONSULT self-diagnosis result.

Perform detected DTC self-diagnosis.

Refer to DTC Index.
There is no malfunction in the self-diagnosis result.
  • Vehicle speed signal

  • GPS antenna

  • AV control unit

Guide sound is not heard. Select “Volume Adjustment”, in the setting screen and then check that the Guidance Sound is ON.

Replace the AV control unit.

Refer to Removal & Installation.
Display is not dimmed. When the combination switch is operated, the light signal operates correctly on “Vehicle Signals”screen for Confirmation/Adjustment.
When the combination switch is operated, the light signal is fixed to OFF on “Vehicle Signals” screen for Confirmation/Adjustment. Check the illumination signal circuit.

Does not recognize cellular phone connection. (No connection is displayed on the display at the guide.) Repeat the registration of cellular phone.

AV control unit malfunction. Replace AV control unit.

Hands-free phone cannot be activated.
  • Hands-free phone operation can be made, but the communication cannot be established.

  • Hands-free phone operation can be performed, however, voice between each other cannot be heard during the conversation.

The other party's voice cannot be heard by hands-free phone. Sound is output in "Speaker diagnosis" in the confirmation / adjustment mode.
Originating sound is not heard by the other party with hands-free phone communication. Sound operation does not work.

Microphone signal circuit malfunction.

Perform CONSULT self-diagnosis and perform failure diagnosis of detected DTC.

The system cannot be operated.
  • The voice recognition can be controlled.

  • Steering switches do not work.

Perform failure diagnosis of detected DTC.

Refer to DTC Index.
The other party's voice is not sent by the operator call. Hands-free phone call is normal. Signal circuit between AV control unit and TCU.
Voice is not transmitted to the other party in the operator call.
NissanConnect Services is not available. CONSULT Self-diagnosis result abnormal.

VOICE CONTROL

RELATED TO AUDIO

Symptom Check items Probable malfunction location
No sound comes out or the level of the sound is low. No sound from all speakers.

Audio amp. power circuit.

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Only a certain speaker (front right, front left, rear right, or rear left, etc.) does not output sound.
  • Poor connector connection of speaker.

  • Sound signal circuit between AV contol unit and audio amp.

  • Sound signal circuit between audio amp. and speaker.

  • Malfunction in speaker.

  • Malfunction in AV control unit.

  • Malfunction in audio amp.

Noise is mixed with audio. Noise comes from all speakers.

Replace the AV control unit.

Refer to Removal & Installation.
Noise comes only from a certain speaker (front right, front left, rear right, or rear left, etc.).
  • Poor connector connection of speaker.

  • Sound signal circuit between AV contol unit and audio amp.

  • Sound signal circuit between audio amp. and speaker.

  • Poor installation of speaker (e.g. backlash and looseness).

  • Malfunction in AV control unit.

  • Malfunction in audio amp.

Noise is mixed with radio only.
  • Poor connector connection of antenna.

  • Poor connector connection of antenna or antenna feeder.

Radio is not received or poor reception.
  • Other audio sounds are normal.

  • Any radio cannot be received or poor reception is caused even after moving to a service area with good reception (e.g. a place with clear view and no obstacles generating external noises).

  • Poor connector connection of antenna.

  • Poor connector connection of antenna or antenna feeder.

NOTE:

Before making a diagnosis, make sure that there are no abnormalities in the USB memory itself.
