Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: System Initialization

Description

If any of the following operations are performed, the initialization is necessary for normal operation of power window system. Refer to Work Procedure.

  • When each power window motor replaced.

  • Power supply to the each power window motor is not cut off properly.

  • Removal and installation of regulator assembly.

  • Removal and installation of each power window motor from regulator assembly.

  • Operation of regulator assembly as an independent unit.

  • Removal and installation of door glass.

  • Removal and installation of door glass run.

CAUTION:

The following specified operations cannot be performed under the non-initialized condition.

  • Auto-up operation

  • Anti-pinch function

Work Procedure

SYSTEM INITIALIZATION

NOTE:

  • System initialization is required for each seat.

  • System initialization can perform by power window main switch or power window switch on each seat.

  1. Close the door.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Operate power window switch UP, and then release the switch after door glass to the fully closed position.*1

  4. Keep pulling the power window switch UP for 5 seconds or more and then release the switch. (Door glass may slightly move)

  5. Keep pressing the power window switch DOWN, and then release the switch after door glass to the fully opened position.*2

  6. Keep pressing the power window switch DOWN for 5 seconds or more and then release the switch. (Door glass may slightly move)

NOTE:

*1: If the door glass stops before reaching the fully closed position, release the switch and then continue pulling the power window switch UP again until the door glass fully closed.

*2: System initialization cancelled if the switch released while MANUAL DOWN operation. System initialization needs again from step 3.

CHECK THE FUNCTION

  1. Check that AUTO UP function operates normally.

  2. Check anti-pinch function. Refer to Description.
