Symptom Table

NOTE:

Perform the self-diagnosis with CONSULT before the symptom diagnosis. Perform the trouble diagnosis if any DTC is detected.

Symptom Possible cause Inspection item
Front wiper (HI, LO) does not operate normally

  • BCM

  • Harness between combination switch and BCM

  • Harness between BCM and front wiper motor

  • Harness between fuse block (J/B) and front wiper relay

  • Harness between fuse and fusible link block and front wiper relay

  • Harness between front wiper relay and ground

  • Harness between front wiper relay and front wiper motor

  • Harness between front wiper motor and ground

  • Fuse

  • Front wiper motor

  • Front wiper relay

  • BCM

Wiper AUTO operation setting Check that the rain sensor is turned ON in the vehicle setting of the vehicle information display of the combination meter.
Front wiper (INT) does not operate normally*2

 Check that the rain sensor is turned OFF in the vehicle setting of the vehicle information display of the combination meter.
Wiper is not linked to the washer operation BCM

Replace BCM

Front washer does not operate normally

  • Harness between front washer pump and washer switch

Rear wiper does not operate ON only

Replace BCM

Refer to Removal and Installation.
Rear wiper does not operate even when shift position is “R”. Rear wiper operation linked with reverse setting Check that the rear wiper operation linked with reverse in the vehicle setting of the vehicle information display of the combination meter.
Rear washer does not operate normally

  • BCM

  • Washer switch

  • Washer pump

  • Harness between front washer pump and washer switch

  • Washer switch

Washer fluid warning does not operate normally

  • Combination meter

Drop wipe operation does not operate normally

  • Drop wipe operation setting

  • BCM

  • Check that the Drop wipe operation is turned ON in the vehicle setting of the vehicle information display of the combination meter.

  • Replace BCM

    Refer to Removal and Installation.
