Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Owner's Manual: Basic information

WARNING

Failure to properly follow the safety guidelines and operating instructions for the Nissan Armada Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI) system may result in serious injury or even fatal accidents.

  • The Nissan Armada I-BSI system is designed as a driver assistance feature and must not replace safe driving habits. It cannot prevent all collisions. Always check mirrors, look over your shoulder, and confirm that it is safe before changing lanes. Never rely solely on the Nissan Armada I-BSI system.
  • The radar detection capability of the Nissan Armada has limitations. Not all vehicles or objects will be detected in every situation. Road conditions, weather, lane markings, and surrounding traffic may affect system performance. Always remain attentive and in control of the vehicle.

The Nissan Armada Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI) system enhances driver awareness by detecting vehicles in adjacent lanes and, when necessary, actively assisting the driver by gently guiding the vehicle back toward the center of its lane.

Example

The Nissan Armada I-BSI system combines radar sensors (A), located near the rear bumper, with a forward-facing camera (B) mounted behind the windshield. This dual-sensor setup allows the system to monitor both surrounding vehicles and lane markings simultaneously for enhanced accuracy.

Detection zone

The detection area of the Nissan Armada extends from the side mirrors to approximately 10 ft (3.0 m) behind the vehicle and about 10 ft (3.0 m) outward on each side. This enables the system to effectively monitor blind spots and nearby traffic conditions.
