Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: Electronic Air Suspension System Symptoms

Symptom Table

WARNING:

  • Jacking up or lift up the vehicle may the vehicle height to go down which cause a personal injury and/or damage to the air suspension component parts. Refer to Precaution for when Jacking and Lifting Up the vehicle with Electronic Air Suspension System.

Perform self-diagnosis using CONSULT before the symptom diagnosis. Perform trouble diagnosis if any DTC is detected. Refer to DTC Index.

SymptomPossible causeHow to solve
vehicle height is not risen/fallen Engine is stopped Start the engine.
Each switch is OFF Check the staus of the switch.
Electric Air Suspension system is OFF
  • Turn ON Electric Air Suspension system in meter setting.
  • Drive above a certain speed (about 7km/h)
Door is opening Close the door.
Food is opening Close the food.
The compressor is overheated due to repeated intentional raising and lowering Wait a few minutes until the compressor cools down.
The vehicle is overloaded Reduce the number of loads on the vehicle.
Does not perform appropriate work after replacing parts of air suspension Perform the work after replacing parts. Refer to Work Procedure.
A foreign object is trapped inside Wheel house Remove the foreign object.
Air leaks slowly (Air slowly escapes through a small hole) Perform diagnosis procedure of DTC:C1C60-64 (Identification of air leak location) Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
12 V battery is low Charge or inspect 12 V battery.
The vehicle and obstacle is in contact Remove obstacles.
The vehicle is leaning Height sensor bracket is winding Replace to height sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation. (front height sensor) or Removal and Installation (rear height sensor).
A foreign object is trapped inside wheel house Remove the foreign object.
Engine is stopped while vehicle height is transitioning Restart the engine and operate.

NOTE:

  • Electronic Air Suspension system will be stopped when the engine is stopped.
  • Electronic Air Suspension system changes vehicle height of front and rear alternately, so vehicle height may lean when engine is stopped while system is in active.
Air Tube is installed by mistake (Air Tube for right side is installed left side etc.) Install air tube correctly.
Adjustment speed of vehicle height is low Tire movement during vehicle height change is obstructed by wheel chocks and so on Remove obstacles like wheel chocks from tires.

NOTE:

Check if the safety is ensured before remove wheel chocks.

vehicle height change is obstructed because friction occurs between suspension parts. Drive the vehicle lightly.
Operation sound occurs Operation sound occurs while vehicle height is transitioning It is normal operating condition.

NOTE:

Operation sound occurs from compressor while vehicle height is transitioning.
