Removal and Installation
WARNING:
-
Jacking up or lift up the vehicle may the vehicle height to go down which cause a personal injury and/or damage to the air suspension component parts. Refer to Precaution for when Jacking and Lifting Up the vehicle with Electronic Air Suspension System.
REMOVAL
Remove the following parts:

Front under cover using a power tool (commercial service tool). Refer to Removal and Installation.

Drive belt: Refer to Removal & Installation.
-
Crankshaft pulley: Refer to Removal & Installation.
Remove front oil seal using a suitable tool.

CAUTION:
Never damage front cover and crankshaft.
INSTALLATION
Apply new engine oil to both oil seal lip and dust seal lip of new front oil seal.
Install front oil seal.

Install front oil seal so that each seal lip is oriented as shown in the figure.

Press in front oil seal
to the position as shown in the figure.

: Front cover rear end face 
: 0 - 0.5 mm (0 - 0.020 in) -
Using a suitable drift, press-fit until the height of front oil seal is level with the mounting surface.

Suitable drift: outer diameter 60 mm (2.36 in), inner diameter 50 mm (1.97 in).

Check that the garter spring is in position and seal lips are not inverted.
CAUTION:
-
Never damage front cover and crankshaft.

Press-fit straight and avoid causing burrs or tilting oil seal.
Install in the reverse order of removal after this step.
