WRITING THE REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT
With CONSULT
Ignition switch ON.
Select "AWD/4WD".
Select "Replace ECU".
Perform the work according to the procedure displayed in CONSULT.
CAUTION:
The following conditions must be maintained during ECU modernization procedure.
Ignition switch ON.
All electric loads are OFF
Brake pedal is not depressed.
Battery voltage: 12-13.5 V (Be sure to check the value of battery voltage by CONSULT.)
NOTE:
Writing of control unit information is performed automatically.
GO TO 2.
WRITING UNIT PARAMETER
Perform writing of the unit parameter to transfer control unit. Refer to Work Procedure.
>>GO TO 3.
INITIAL CALIBRATION
Continue the following condition.
Transmission position : P
4WD mode : AUTO
Depress the brake pedal.
Start the engine and wait for approximately 10 seconds under the brake pedal depressed.
GO TO 4.
PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
With CONSULT
Erase self-diagnostic results for “AWD/4WD”.
Ignition switch ON to OFF.
CAUTION:
Wait for 60 seconds after ignition switch OFF.
Depress the brake pedal.
Start the engine.
CAUTION:
Never drive the vehicle.
Perform self-diagnosis for “AWD/4WD”.
Is any DTCs detected?
YES>>Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index.
NO>>WORK END
