Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: Work Procedure

CAUTION:

Make sure to use CONSULT when performing stroke sensor calibration. (It cannot be performed by any means other than CONSULT.)

VEHICLE CONDITION

  1. Stop the vehicle.

  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector.

>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK 12V BATTERY

Check the 12V battery. Refer to Work Flow.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Charge or replace the 12V battery. Refer toWork Flow or Removal and Installation. GO TO 3.

CHECKING INSTALLATION CONDITIONS OF BRAKE COMPONENTS

Check the installation conditions of brake components.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace error-detected parts. GO TO 4.

CHECK BRAKE PEDAL

Check the brake pedal.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Adjust the brake pedal height or replace brake pedal assembly.

PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

With CONSULT

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF to ON without depressing the brake pedal.

    CAUTION:

    Never start engine.

  2. Repeat step 1 two or more times.

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to wait for 5 seconds or more after turning the ignition switch OFF.

  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector.

  4. Get out of the vehicle, close all doors, check that the room lamp is OFF, and wait for 3 minutes or more without opening these doors.

    CAUTION:

    Never operate the vehicle.

  5. Turn the ignition switch ON without depressing the brake pedal.

    CAUTION:

    Never start engine.

  6. Erase self-diagnosis result for “ABS”.

  7. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector.

  8. CAUTION:

    Never operate the vehicle.

  9. Turn the ignition switch ON without depressing the brake pedal.

    CAUTION:

    Never start engine.

  10. Depress brake pedal by 100 mm (3.94 in) or more, and hold the position for 5 seconds or more.

  11. Release brake pedal.

  12. Perform self-diagnosis for “ABS”.

Is a malfunction detected?

YES>>

Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index. GO TO 6.

NO>>

GO TO 6.

PERFORM PEDAL STROKE SENSOR CALIBRATION

With CONSULT

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector and wait for 10 seconds or more.

  2. Turn the ignition switch ON without depressing the brake pedal.

    CAUTION:

    Never start engine.

  3. Start CONSULT and select "ABS" , "Work support" and "Stroke sensor calibration" according to this order.

    CAUTION:

    Never depress brake pedal.

  4. Touch “START”.

Is either “COMPLETED” or “The operation is incomplete. Try again after confirming the operation condition.” displayed?

“COMPLETED”>>

Touch the “END”. GO TO 7.

“The operation is incomplete. Try again after confirming the operation condition.”>>

GO TO 1.

CHECK DATA MONITOR

With CONSULT

Select “ABS”, “Data monitor” and “Stroke sensor output voltage” according to this order. Check that this signal is within the specified value. Refer to Reference Value.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 8.

NO>>

GO TO 6.

ERASE SELF-DIAGNOSIS MEMORY

With CONSULT

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector and wait for 10 seconds or more.

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to perform the operation above.

  2. Turn the ignition switch ON without depressing the brake pedal.

    CAUTION:

    Never start engine.

  3. Erase self-diagnosis result for “ABS”.

  4. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector.

  5. CAUTION:

    Never operate the vehicle.

Are the memories erased?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Check the items indicated by the self-diagnosis.
