Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: Work Procedure

After replacing the ADAS control unit 2 and after replacing or removing the following steering components, the steering torque calibration is necessary to operate the system normally.

NOTE:

Follow the CONSULT when performing Steering Torque Calibration. (Steering Torque Calibration cannot be performed without CONSULT).

Work Procedure (Preparation)

PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Perform self-diagnosis of "ICC/ADAS 2".

  3. Check if any DTC is detected.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the applicable item. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

PREPARATION BEFORE STEERING TORQUE CALIBRATION

  1. Perform pre-inspection for diagnosis. Refer to Work Procedure.

  2. Place the car on a level surface.

  3. Adjust the tire pressure to the specified pressure value.

  4. Maintain no-load in vehicle.

  5. Check if the following conditions are satisfied.

    • Shift position: P Range

    • Steering wheel: Center (within ±15 degrees)

    • ProPILOT Assist 1.1 or ProPILOT Assist 2.1: OFF

    • Vehicle speed: 0 km/h (0 MPH)

    • ADAS control unit 2 voltage: More than 10.5 V

  6. Release the parking brake.

Work Procedure (Steering Torque Calibration)

NOTE:

STEERING TORQUE CALIBRATION

CONSULT

NOTE:

Operate CONSULT outside the vehicle, and close all the doors.

  1. Select "Work Support", then "Steering Torque Calibration".

  2. Check if the following conditions are satisfied.

    • Shift position: P Range

    • ADAS control unit 2 voltage: More than 10.5 V

  3. Select "START" to begin the Steering Torque Calibration.

    NOTE:

    Never touch steering wheel or shake the vehicle when the Steering Torque Calibration is conducted.

  4. Confirm the displayed item.

    • “Completed”: Select “Completion”.

    • “Abnormally completed”: Perform the following services.

Displayed item possible cause service procedure:

Possible Cause Action
Steering wheel torque value is out range.
  • Check install condition of steering system (from torque sensor to steering wheel).

  • After repairing or replacing error-detected parts, perform calibration again.

Out of execution condition.
  • Ensure the following items are within the specified range:

    • ADAS control unit 2 power supply: more than 10.5 V

    • Shift position: P range

    • Steering wheel: Center (within ±15 degrees)

    • Vehicle speed: 0 km/h (0 MPH)

    • Touched the steering wheel during calibration: retry without touching the steering wheel.

    • Some parts are not normal: Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  • Touch "Retry" after satisfying the execution conditions.

Calibration for torque value is abnormally completed. Touch "Retry".

Confirm that “Completed” is displayed and then select “End” to close the adjustment procedure.
