Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Service and Repair Manual: Additional Service When Replacing Control Valve & Tcm

Description

WARNING:

  • Jacking up or lift up the vehicle may the vehicle height to go down which cause a personal injury and/or damage to the air suspension component parts. Refer to Precaution for when Jacking and Lifting Up the vehicle with Electronic Air Suspension System.

When replacing the control valve & TCM, perform the following work. For work procedure, refer to Work Procedure.

  • A/T fluid filling

  • Calibration of park position sensor

  • vehicle specifications writing

    CAUTION:

    Since vehicle specifications are not yet written in a new TCM, it is necessary to write them with CONSULT.

  • A/T fluid level adjustment

  • Torque converter clutch point learning

  • Calibration of decel G sensor

Work Procedure

WARNING:

  • Jacking up or lift up the vehicle may the vehicle height to go down which cause a personal injury and/or damage to the air suspension component parts. Refer to Precaution for when Jacking and Lifting Up the vehicle with Electronic Air Suspension System.

REPLACE CONTROL VALVE & TCM

Replace control valve & TCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

GO TO 2.

REFILL A/T FLUID

Refill A/T fluid. Refer to Changing.

NOTE:

Just fill A/T fluid in this step, A/T fluid level is adjusted in the step 4.

GO TO 3.

CALIBRATE PARK POSITION SENSOR AND WRITING vehicle SPECIFICATIONS

With CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select "TRANSMISSION".

  3. Select "Replace ECU".

  4. Perform the work according to the procedure displayed in CONSULT.

CAUTION:

If the shift position is not displayed on the combination meter after writing the vehicle specifications, confirm that the shift position is displayed on the combination meter after performing one of the following actions.

  • Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait until the combination meter turns off. Then turn the ignition switch ON.

  • Disconnect the 12V battery terminal and reconnect it. Then turn the ignition switch ON. Refer to Precautions for Removing Battery Terminal.

GO TO 4.

ADJUST A/T FLUID LEVEL

Adjust A/T fluid level. Refer to Adjustment.

GO TO 5.

PERFORM TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH POINT LEARNING

Perform torque converter clutch point learning. Refer to Descripton.

GO TO 6.

CALIBRATE DECEL G SENSOR

  1. Perform decel G sensor calibration. Refer to Description.

  2. Clear any DTCs that may have set and then test drive the vehicle.
