DESCRIPTION
When replacing the power steering control module, the procedures of AFTER REPLACEMENT must be performed.
AFTER REPLACEMENT
After replacing the power steering control module, the following items must be performed:

Power steering control module programming.
-
Power steering control module configuration.
-
Adjustment of steering angle sensor neutral position.
-
Steering torque calibration.
-
Rack end value reset.
WORK PROCEDURE
REPLACE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE
With CONSULT
-
Select "Replace ECU" of "EPS/DIRECT ADAPTIVE STEERING 3".
-
Perform writing vehicle specification to power steering control module according to "Replace ECU" in CONSULT Operation Manual.
CAUTION:
During work, maintain the following conditions:
-
Ignition switch: ON
-
Electric load: OFF
-
vehicle speed: 0 km/h (MPH)
-
12V battery voltage: 10.5 V or more
-
Steering angle : ±90 °or less
-
Steering wheel: Do not touch
NOTE:
Writing of programming and configuration is automatically.

GO TO 2.
PERFORM NECESSARY WORK
-
Perform adjustment of steering angle sensor neutral position. Refer to Work Procedure.

Perform steering torque calibration. Refer to Work Procedure.
-
Perform rack reset. Refer to Work Procedure.
-
Perform self-diagnosis for “EPS/DIRECT ADAPTIVE STEERING 3”.
-
Erase the memory of self-diagnosis results.
