Description

Check anti-pinch function when the initialization of moonroof and sunshade system is performed. Refer to Work Procedure.

Work Procedure

CHECK ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION

  1. Fully open the moonroof.

  2. Place a piece of wood near the fully closed position.

  3. Close the moonroof completely with auto closed.

  4. Check that moonroof opens for approximately 145 mm (5.71 in) without pinching a piece of wood and stops.

  5. Fully open the sunshade.

  6. Place a piece of wood near fully closed position.

  7. Close the sunshade completely with auto closed.

  8. Check that sunshade opens for approximately 145 mm (5.71 in) without pinching a piece of wood and stops.

CAUTION:

  • Never check with hands or another part of the body because they may be pinched. never get pinched.

  • When the distance between pinching position and fully-open position is less than 145 mm (5.71 in), moonroof or sunshade reverses to fully-open position.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>
