Basic information
For optimal use of the Nissan Armada automatic brake hold system, follow the operational guidelines outlined below to ensure safe and effective performance.
To maintain braking force automatically
When the Nissan Armada automatic brake hold function is active and the white indicator is illuminated, press the brake pedal firmly to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. Once sufficient braking force is applied, the indicator light will change to green.
At this point, the Nissan Armada will maintain braking force automatically, allowing you to remove your foot from the brake pedal. The green indicator confirms that the hold function is actively engaged.
If the brake pedal is not pressed firmly enough or is released too quickly, the green indicator will not illuminate, and the system will not hold the vehicle. Always confirm the green indicator is displayed before releasing the brake pedal.
To start the vehicle from a standstill
When the Nissan Armada is held stationary by the automatic brake hold system (green indicator active), simply press the accelerator pedal. The braking force will automatically release, and the vehicle will begin moving.
After releasing the brake hold, the system returns to standby mode, indicated by the white light.
Parking
When the Nissan Armada is shifted into the P (Park) position while the automatic brake hold is active, the system will automatically engage the electronic parking brake. At the same time, the brake hold function will be released and its indicator will turn off.
If the electronic parking brake is applied manually while the Nissan Armada is being held by the automatic brake hold system, the brake hold function will also disengage automatically.
NOTE:
The Nissan Armada automatic brake hold system enhances driving comfort and safety, especially in traffic conditions, by reducing driver fatigue while maintaining full control of the vehicle. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
