Description
Engine does not start when operating REMOTE ENGNE START button of Intelligent Key or telematics function of the smartphone. .
NOTE:
Check that vehicle is under the condition shown in “Conditions of vehicle” before starting diagnosis, and check each symptom.
CONDITIONS OF VEHICLE (OPERATING CONDITIONS)

Shift position is in P position.
-
Vehicle security system is not in operation.
-
Registered Intelligent Key is not in the vehicle.
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK TELEMATICS SYSTEM SYMPTOM TABLE
Check telematics system symptom table. Refer to Symptom Table.

GO TO 2.
CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY FUNCTION)
Lock/unlock door with Intelligent Key. Refer to System Description.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Check Intelligent Key system (remote keyless entry function). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
CHECK HOOD SWITCH
Check hood switch. Refer to Component Function Check.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
CHECK DOOR SWITCH
Check door switch. Refer to ComponentFunctionCheck.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 5.
NO >>Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
CHECK HAZARD SWITCH
Check hazard switch. Refer to ComponentFunctionCheck.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 6.
NO >>Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
REPLACE BCM
Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>INSPECTION END
NO>>Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
