Description
VIN Registration is an operation to registering VIN in ECM. It must be performed each time ECM is replaced.
NOTE:
Accurate VIN which is registered in ECM may be required for Inspection & Maintenance (I/M). (For details, refer to Work Procedure .)
Work Procedure
CHECK VIN
Check the VIN of the vehicle and note it. Refer to Information About Identification or Model Code.

PERFORM VIN REGISTRATION
With CONSULT

Ignition switch ON and engine stopped.

On CONSULT screen, select “ECM”>>“Work support”>>“VIN REGISTRATION”.

Follow the instruction of CONSULT display.
