WARNING
- Riding in the cargo area of a Nissan Armada is extremely hazardous. In the event of a collision, occupants in these areas face a significantly higher risk of severe injury or fatal consequences.
- Never allow passengers to occupy any part of the Nissan Armada that is not specifically designed with proper seating and seat belts.
- Ensure that every passenger in your Nissan Armada is seated correctly and that seat belts are fastened securely at all times while the vehicle is in motion.
Terms
Before loading your Nissan Armada, it is essential to understand the following key terms related to vehicle weight and capacity to ensure safe and efficient operation:
- Curb Weight (actual weight of your Nissan Armada) – the total weight of
the vehicle including standard and optional equipment, all operating fluids,
emergency tools, and the spare tire assembly.
This value does not include passengers or cargo.
- GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) – the combined weight of the Nissan Armada including curb weight plus passengers and cargo.
- GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) – the maximum allowable total weight of the Nissan Armada, including the unloaded vehicle, passengers, cargo, trailer tongue weight, hitch components, and any additional accessories. This specification can be found on the F.M.V.S.S./C.M.V.S.S. certification label.
- GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) – the maximum permissible load that can be supported by each axle (front or rear) of the Nissan Armada. Refer to the F.M.V.S.S./C.M.V.S.S. label for exact values.
- GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating) – the total allowable combined weight of the Nissan Armada, including passengers, cargo, and any trailer being towed.
- Vehicle Capacity Weight / Load Limit / Total Load Capacity – the maximum allowable combined weight of passengers and cargo that can be safely carried in the Nissan Armada. If towing a trailer, the trailer tongue weight must be included in this calculation. This information is provided on the Tire and Loading Information label.
- Cargo capacity – the maximum weight of cargo that can be loaded into the Nissan Armada after subtracting the total weight of occupants from the overall load limit.
