WARNING
The Hill Start Assist system in the Nissan Armada automatically maintains brake pressure for a short moment when the vehicle is stopped on an incline. This gives the driver enough time to release the brake pedal and press the accelerator without the vehicle rolling backward.
This feature enhances driver confidence during uphill starts, especially in traffic or when towing, by reducing the risk of unintended movement.
The Nissan Armada Hill Start Assist system activates automatically when the following conditions are met:
The system holds the brakes for approximately 2 seconds.
After this brief interval, the Nissan Armada will begin to roll if sufficient throttle is not applied, and the Hill Start Assist system will disengage.
The system will not operate when the transmission is in N (Neutral) or P (Park), or when the vehicle is on a flat surface.
Additionally, if the slip indicator light is illuminated in the instrument cluster, the Nissan Armada Hill Start Assist system will be temporarily unavailable.
