Description
VIN Registration is an operation to registering VIN in ECM. It must be performed each time ECM is replaced.NOTE:
Accurate VIN which is registered in ECM may be required for Inspection & Maintenance (I/M). (For details, refer to Work Procedure .)

Does Not Restart After the Stop/start System Is Activated
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK SYMPTOM
Check the symptoms.
A stop/start indicator lamp turned on, and did an engine perform a stall at the time of restart from a stop/start system?
YES>>
GO TO 2.
NO>>
Refer to Symptom Table.

Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK FAIL-SAFE ACTIVATION
Check if the symptom is caused by a fail-safe operation. Refer to Fail-Safe.
Is fail-safe operating?
YES>>
Repair the part causing fail-safe operation.
NO>>
GO TO 2.
CHECK INVERTER UNIT POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
