Removal and Installation
WARNING:
-
Jacking up or lift up the vehicle may the vehicle height to go down which cause a personal injury and/or damage to the air suspension component parts. Refer to Precaution for when Jacking and Lifting Up the vehicle with Electronic Air Suspension System.
REMOVAL
Remove tires. Refer to ROAD WHEEL TIRE : Removal & Installation.
Drain gear oil. Refer to Draining.
Remove front stabilizer clamps. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove both front drive shafts. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CAUTION:
Oil may leak from the opening. Use cap and/or plug to prevent leakage.
Remove front cross member assembly

Remove front propeller shaft from front final drive. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove air breather hose from front final drive. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Set a suitable jack to front final drive assembly.
Remove front final drive assembly mounting bolts and nuts (
), then remove front final drive assembly.

CAUTION:
Secure front final drive assembly to suitable jack while removing it.
INSTALLATION
Note the following, install in the reverse order of removal.

For each tightening torque, refer to Exploded View.

Perform inspection after installation. Refer to Inspection.
Inspection
INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
Check the oil level and the oil leakage after installation. Refer to Inspection.
