Removal and Installation
WARNING:
-
Jacking up or lift up the vehicle may the vehicle height to go down which cause a personal injury and/or damage to the air suspension component parts. Refer to Precaution for when Jacking and Lifting Up the vehicle with Electronic Air Suspension System.
REMOVAL
Drain gear oil. Refer to Draining.
Remove both front drive shafts from front final drive assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove side oil seal, using oil seal remover (A) (commercial service tool).

CAUTION:
Never damage gear carrier.
INSTALLATION
Using the drifts (A and B), drive side oil seal until it becomes flush with the gear carrier end.

NOTE:
For left side, use drift [SST: ST30720000 (NI-25405)] only.
CAUTION:
-
Never reuse oil seal.

When installing, never incline oil seal.

Check that the oil seal lip is filled up with grease.
Install both front drive shafts. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Refill gear oil to the final drive. Refer to Refilling.
Perform inspection after installation. Refer to Inspection.
